From Rock Bottom to Rolling Shine – The Mission Behind Nova

I was 365 pounds.

My joints ached. My spirit was heavy. I could barely breathe in my own body, let alone in the world. I was buried alive in addiction, depression, debt, regret—and no one was coming to save me. Not my job. Not my family. Not the system.

Just me… and God.

And even then, half the time it felt like He was silent.

But somewhere deep down, past the shame, past the failure, past the pain—I knew this wasn’t where the story ended. I was broken… but I wasn’t done.

🪓 So I Cut Loose the Chains

I got the surgery. I dropped the weight. I dropped the excuses. I dropped everything I knew—and started Nova Shine with nothing but a dream, a used water tank, and a fire in my chest.

I’ve poured every cent, every hour, and every drop of sweat into this mission. I didn’t start this to “wash cars.” I started this to bring the light back—one car, one person, one prayer at a time.

⚔️ This Ain’t Just Business. This Is Battle.

We don’t have investors.

We don’t have backup.

We have faith.

And faith only matters if you’re willing to bleed for it.

I gave up a guaranteed job. My wife gave up her stability. My kids have watched me fight every single day to turn this mission into momentum. And every time I start to break… God breathes one more spark.

Nova Shine is a calling.

It’s not a brand—it’s a testimony on wheels.

We don’t just bring back the shine to your ride—we bring back hope to people who’ve forgotten what it looks like. We are here to serve. When we clean a car we do it with purpose.. like Jesus washing feet.

We serve Mishawaka | South Bend & Surrounding area's, but this movement is bigger than geography.

It’s about truth, grit, and God’s mercy in motion.
